In 2018 after a break from coaching I discovered I wanted to get back to it. I first qualified as a fitness coach in 1998. I was a new mum and decided to combine a career as a freelance health and fitness writer and editor with teaching and entered the fitness industry, kicking off with the YMCA Exercise to music qualification. For the next decade I continued to learn and gain qualifications and became a level 3 personal trainer in 2004 and running coach in 2005. I went on to specialise in running and endurance sport and ran my own residential coaching business and running club, and through my marketing efforts appeared on national TV and in the national press.
I also carved a niche in the health and fitness sector as a journalist and worked as an editor of both on and offline publications, and co-authored fitness books. In 2012 I co-founded the Fitness Writers’ Association and began working with fitness brands as a Content Marketing and Social Media Consultant.
Now I’ve consolidated what I do, and combined my passion for content with coaching. I work with individuals and brands and offer a bespoke one-to-one coaching service for those who want to get their story and their brand known.
As a marathon runner, triathlete and soon to be ironman, I’m also back coaching with clients who want to perform their very best in a forthcoming event, and at the same time consciously tap into the benefits and lessons they are learning for life and work.
